The 2018 Academy Awards® was an absolute squee-fest for geeks, darklings and magical creatives. The year of Wonder Woman, Star Wars and Black Panther. The year of dark fairytales and the year of cautionary horror stories. The year of inclusivity (<–I know that’s not a real word, but it ought to be), diversity, and unity. I love to watch the red carpet arrivals, and do not consider it all a shallow, gratuitous display of wealth because fashion – especially at an event like this – is an art form. This is a recap of what I shared on social media during the awards last night: a selection of dress-to-express Unicorn fashions that really sparked my horn. In no particular order, these were my favorites:

Nicole Kidman looked like a sparkling Australian sapphire. Extra geek-out moment watching her and Sandy Bullock’s Practical Magic reunion!
Who she is wearing: Armani Privé.
