Grimrose Girls by Laura Pohl has everything I love in a twisted YA fairytale. I’ve been longing for a magical dark academia project for years now, so when this opportunity landed in my lucky lap, I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in it.
This is a uniquely feminist, thoroughly magical, and literally grim fairytale with fantastic BIPOC and LGBTQA representation. I plan on reading it through the cozy season – especially when my Midwestern world turns into a snowglobe!
